Year End Reflection
reflection Sunday
On December 28, we will not have our normal Sunday Gathering, but rather we encourage you to take some time to reflect on the year 2025 and prepare for 2026. At Sojourn, we value the practice of contemplation and we hope this aids you into a time of reflection and connection with God.
We have three options for you:
Long Form Reflection: This reflection is a guided way to look back on the past year—naming your joys, losses, growth, and God’s faithfulness—so you can step into the new year with clarity and gratitude. This will take anywhere from 2-4 hours, depending on your pace. It can also be broken into different days.
Short Form Reflection: This reflection helps you pause and look back on the past year—remembering God’s goodness, noticing ordinary graces, naming fears and heartache, and paying attention to how God shaped you. This will take 20-45 minutes, depending how much time you spend on the questions.
Family Reflection: This family reflection invites you to look back on the past year and remember the specific ways God has helped, provided, and shown His kindness by creating simple “Ebenezers” together. Through a hands-on activity—either a memory book or memorial stones—you mark God’s faithfulness and celebrate His goodness. The activity takes 15–25 minutes for most families, depending on how much you share and discuss together.
