In this text we meet two prominent characters, Herod and the Magi. Herod was a self-consumed ruler that was cruel to anything that confronted his kingship. The Magi were self-sacrificing men, yearning to meet and worship the Christ Child. Pastor Ernie lands by considering how in each of us there is a little King Herod.
