Advent is formed from a latin word meaning, "coming" or "arrival." It's historically been a time where the Church celebrates Jesus' first advent and anxiously waits for His second advent. It is a time for remembering and rejoicing, watching and waiting. A time to reflect on the promises of God and to anticipate the fulfillment of those promises with patience, prayer, and preparedness. Jesus Christ has come and will come again. As the Church, this is our hope. His coming is our joy, for He is our good and our greatest treasure.

We want to give resources that would facilitate and help you experience Christ in this season. Here are a few resources that we specifically recommend:

1. Daily Readings for Advent from Desiring God

2. Daily Office Readings for Advent from New Life Church.

3Advent Guide from The Village Church

4The Jesse Tree

This guide is an opportunity to experience more of Christ each day in this Advent season. This material is written by Ann Voskamp.

5. Sojourn Advent Sermons

Keep up with our sermon series during this advent series.

Our culture will constantly give you promises that it can't keep during this season. We hope that the source of our joy, Jesus, will be greatly treasured as we pursue Him during this time.

We pray that your joy will be made full in Christ during this Advent season.
